Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about working with us? We’ve gathered some of the most common questions  to help you understand our process, services, and what to expect when starting your project.

  • What services does Cyr Kitchen & Bath offer?

Cyr Kitchen & Bath is a division of Cyr Lumber & Home Center. We offer complete design services, jobsite measurements, and full remodeling solutions. In our showrooms, you’ll find cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, flooring, decking, siding, roofing, windows, doors, and more. For the full range of products and services available through our parent company, visit www.cyrlumber.com.

  • How long have you been in business?

Cyr Lumber & Home Center has been family-owned and operated since 1984. Our Kitchen & Bath division was added in the early 1990s, then updated and expanded in 2006 to better serve our customers.

  • How much does it cost for designs?

Our kitchen and bath designs, along with estimates, are complimentary! We want you to feel confident in our ideas from the very beginning. In some cases, if there’s an extended amount of time with multiple rounds of design changes, your designer may request a small design fee. The best part? That fee is always applied toward your remodel purchase.

  • How long will my bathroom remodel take?

A bathroom remodeling project (including full gut and removal) usually takes 6-8 weeks to complete depending on the scope of the project. Of course, this can vary based on the size and complexity of your space.

  • How long will my kitchen remodel take?

On average, a full gut and remodel of a standard-sized kitchen takes about 8–10 weeks. While our team does everything possible to minimize delays, unexpected issues can sometimes arise once walls and floors are removed. We will keep you informed every step of the way and work closely with your schedule to complete your project as efficiently as possible.

  • Do you offer installation?

Yes! Cyr Kitchen & Bath has its own in-house installers who handle remodels and new construction, including demolition and carpentry. For specialized work such as plumbing, electrical, painting, tile installation, and drywall, we partner with trusted subcontractors we’ve worked with for years. Already have a contractor you’re working with? That’s perfectly fine—we’re happy to coordinate with them, too.

  • Do I have to hire an electrician or plumber?

No, if you choose Cyr Kitchen & Bath for your installation, we’ll coordinate everything for you. We work with our own trusted electricians and plumbers, so you don’t have to worry about hiring additional contractors.

  • Do I need to be home during the project?

No, you don’t need to be home for the entire project. We just ask that you provide either a door code or a lock box with a key so our installers can keep things moving on schedule. The only exception is during countertop templating and installation—we recommend being there for that part, since it’s an important step to review details and make sure everything is mapped out just right. Our vendors will always do their best to work around your schedule.

  • Will someone be working on my home everyday?

Not necessarily. Our installers’ schedules can vary depending on how quickly each phase of a project is completed, so there may be days when no one is working in your home. That said, we do our best to keep steady progress moving forward. Your designer and project coordinator will keep you updated on what to expect and let you know when work will (or won’t) be happening.

  • What cabinets do you carry?

We carry seven cabinetry lines for both kitchens and bathrooms: Cabico Unique, Cabico Essence, Elmwood, Plain & Fancy, Yorktowne (Iconic & Classic), Wolf Designer, and Wolf Classic. Availability can vary by showroom, so we recommend reaching out to your nearest location if you’re looking for something specific.

  • Do you carry anything in stock?

No, we don’t keep cabinetry or products in stock. Everything we offer is made to order to ensure it’s the perfect fit for your home. If you have questions or need guidance on timelines, our team at your nearest showroom will be happy to help.

  • Do you offer delivery?

Yes! We offer delivery right to your home. Delivery is free within New Hampshire, and if we’re delivering to Massachusetts, a state sales tax will be applied. We’ll coordinate timing with you so your products arrive when you’re ready for them.

  • Do you offer additions?

We don’t build additions, but we do offer full remodeling services! If you have an existing space, we can completely gut and transform it to fit your needs. Our team often reworks layouts, including moving interior walls when it’s structurally safe, to create a design that matches your vision.
